Three Yale scientists are among 50 recipients of the 2014 National Institutes of Health Director’s New Innovator Awards. The $1.5 million awards support innovative approaches to major challenges in biomedical research today.

With the award’s support, Murat Acar, Ph.D., assistant professor of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and of physics, will work to uncover novel connections between single-cell aging and cellular metabolism, chromosome instability, and protein misfolding.
