AstraZeneca and School of Medicine to collaborate on lung and other cancers

Yale School of Medicine and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca (AZ) have embarked on a new collaboration, supported by AZ’s Oncology Global Medical Affairs group, that aims to speed translational and clinical research to develop lifesaving, next-generation therapies for lung and other cancers.

School of Medicine names deputy deans for faculty, scientific affairs

Three faculty members have been named deputy deans at the School of Medicine: Linda K. Bockenstedt, M.D., was appointed deputy dean for faculty affairs, Brian R. Smith, M.D., is serving as deputy dean for scientific affairs (clinical departments), and Michael C. Crair, Ph.D., is now deputy dean for scientific affairs (basic science departments).
